Emotional Intelligence Enhancement
Executive Coaching Program
What is the Genos EI Program and how does it work?
Our Genos EI Executive Coaching Program is a skill enhancement process that includes two 360-degree assessments, a complete manual, and a 3 to 4 month intensive one-on-one coaching relationship. The coaching relationship is a cognitive-behavioral restructuring methodology based on the construct of emotional intelligence developed by Dr. Ben Palmer and Professor Con Stough at Swinburne University.
Because the Genos 360 EI assessment measures behaviors, and all the coaching sessions are focused there, the input and feedback from your raters (managers, peers, direct reports, and customers/clients) provides us with a powerful opportunity to positively impact your relationships in the workplace. Over time, the weekly sessions help you turn your insights into new ways of perceiving, thinking, and behaving that become permanent, practical ways of being that you bring to every interaction with others at work.
The post-coaching re-assessment gives us an accurate measure of your progress and growth, and is based on real-world observations, by yourself and others, of what you do now that is more effective than what you did before this developmental work. This measurement of growth is especially important for accountability in 'soft skill' development, an area usually considered to be very difficult to quantify. After the program, using any metric you choose, you can then judge the value of your investment to you personally, as well as in terms of its contribution to your company's bottom line.
Our delivery of the Genos EI Executive Coaching Program conforms at every point to the Best Practices Guidelines as set forth in the PDF from Cary Cherniss at the EI Consortium. The "Guidelines" document is available as a free download elsewhere on our site (CarmineLeo.com) or you can download the original from the EI Consortium website:

Outcomes:
It has been our consistent experience that this program results in significant and noticeable improvements in participants' ability to deal effectively with intra- and interpersonal challenges at many levels, as reported by the participants as well as by their rater population. Emotional intelligence, which forms the basis of this program, has been demonstrated in research to be a significant underlying attribute that contributes to transformational leadership styles, authentic relationships in the workplace, the ability to cope with high work demands and occupational stress, and the capacity to effectively regulate and manage emotions, both in oneself as well as in others. Furthermore, the program has been found to enhance individual’s E.I. and produce significantly improved effectiveness outcomes in these areas.
Additional research documentation is available upon request.
